Frequently Asked Questions About Our Wedding Photography:Feel free to browse our photo galleries, where you will see indoor and outdoor weddings of Vancouver and area. How much time should I allow for photos? Allow about 1 hour for group and family shots, not including travel time. (This is assuming you have no more than 15-20 people in your group. Allow more time if you have a larger group.) For your couples portraits and wedding party photos, ideally plan to spend at least one additional hour, not including travel time. Can I receive a copy of the "digital negatives" on a disc? Yes! All high resolution images will be provided on DVD, fully color corrected and ready for print and web use. When is the engagement photo session? That is up to you. We can arrange an engagement session months in advance or even just a week in advance. It all depends on how much time you have before your wedding day and if you want to make a guestbook or prints in time for the wedding. A guestbook takes up to 2 months. Keep in mind that Engagement sessions do need to be booked in advance as most weekends will fill up with weddings quite early in the year. Do you do destination weddings? Mayan Photography spends much of the winters in Mexico, and would he happy to do a destination wedding in many beautiful locations in Mexico with minimal or no travel costs!!! Get high quality images by a Canadian photographer at your destination wedding without paying high flight costs. Contact me for details and tell me where and when your destination wedding is, and we'll see how we can make it work! Can I make my own prints? Yes, you certainly can, but we strongly recommend that any important enlargements be ordered from us for two reasons. 1) We can not guarantee the print life or quality of any printed images that are not supplied by us. 2) The files supplied (although technically perfect) will not have been processed or cropped and re-sized for printing on any specific printing device. All prints ordered from us are specifically formatted on a calibrated monitor and color corrected to our chosen printer's ICC color profile so that they turn out exactly as they should. This ensures that you look your best in your prints. When you meet with us for the first time, we will show you samples of various prints from different places to see what we mean. How many images will I get? We usually deliver about 400-500 final retouched photos for a full day wedding- and sometimes more. The amount really depends on how long we are actually shooting for and how much time is spent traveling on the day. Generally you will get 40-60 photos per hour. These will be already filtered and retouched.
