A passion for (re)connecting with nature
Naomi is an award-winning photographer who’s mission is to inspire others to explore the transformative power of nature photography as they embark on their own journey of self-discovery and joy amidst the rush of modern life.
My purpose with my work
- To bring out the beauty in all living things
- To help others detach from this fast-paced, high-tech world and (re)connect with nature
- To inspire through photography, promoting personal growth, creativity, and joy

My Journey
For much of my 40+ years on this earth, I struggled with the need to make everything perfect, especially myself. But behind a successful exterior, I hid feelings of not being good enough and struggled with imposter syndrome for years. Today, I share my art to illuminate the inherent beauty in every living thing, including ourselves. Imperfections are what make us beautiful and we all are “perfect” in our very own way, a truth I’ve come to embrace.
Photography is more than freezing moments; it’s a gateway to self-expression. It’s about slowing down, immersing yourself in the present, and truly seeing the world’s beauty. Through this process, you not only capture an image aligned with your vision but also connect with your inner artist and unleash your creativity! So go on, explore nature, step outside, and with a little guidance (from me, if you’ll join me!), discover the healing qualities of the forest and its abilty to take you away from the constant digital distractions we face today.
This journey may sound a bit unconventional, but I believe in the transformative power of nature photography. It’s an invitation to embrace stillness and create from a place of inner joy. Studies have shown that time in nature — as long as people feel safe — is an antidote for stress: It can lower blood pressure and stress hormone levels, increase self-esteem, reduce anxiety, and improve mood. I encourage you to pursue your artistic passion in the great outdoors. Meaningful journeys are rarely easy, and like most of you reading this, mine has been a tapestry of unexpected mountains and valleys and photography has always been there for me to help me through my lowest points. And, while my journey is far from over, I am grateful for every moment I get to live in this beautiful world.
“They told me to pick a niche, or I wouldn’t succeed. But, there are too many things I love.
To me it seems limiting to only photograph the world one way, so I’ve developed several distinct bodies of work – all inspired by nature. These include surreal nighttime images, delicate macro work, and enchanted forest photographs.“
